Meet Lorraine Lie: A Passionate Music Educator and Performer
Ms. Lorraine Lie is a truly passionate music educator and talented performer. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Lorraine’s musical journey began early, at just seven years old, when she started playing the violin and piano. Later on, she also picked up the guitar during her university studies.
A Rich Performance and Recording Career
As a performer, Ms. Lorraine Lie has released several successful CDs, including “Angel in the Sky,” “Shepherd of My Soul,” and “Heavenwards.” In addition, her work has contributed to church CD productions like “First Love.” Furthermore, she collaborated with Brenda Li on “Pray to You” and “Proclaim Thy Name.” Her talent was recognized in 2013 when she proudly won 2nd prize in the “Praise and Worship Explosion Singer-Songwriter” competition. Finally, she has performed at wonderful venues, including the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Musicians
Ms. Lorraine Lie truly loves sharing her passion for music with others. For instance, she has skillfully led several school-based string ensembles. These groups, featuring violin, viola, and cello, thrived at DSC International School, Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong, and Nord Anglia International School. Additionally, she participated in Hong Kong TVB’s “Hands Up” show in 2025. During the program, Lorraine hosted a fun session where she taught guitar to children. Indeed, she has also helped mentor young musicians who have shown great passion and talent.
Dedicated to Engaging Music Education
Since 2003, Lorraine Lie has been devoted to music education. She became a full-time tutor in 2009. Because of her passion, Lorraine genuinely enjoys teaching students of all ages. Therefore, she always strives to make every lesson enjoyable and deeply engaging.
